Charlotte Spink, Learning Coordinator with the Learning and Engagement Team will be joined by members of Durham Archaeology Explorers (archaeology club for children aged 7 - 11 years) to talk about the group’s recent activities and why community archaeology groups are so important for inspiring the archaeologists and historians of the future.

This talk coincides with the Festival of Archaeology, a UK-wide event promoting involvement in archaeology. 

Free and open to all.

This talk is part of the Thursday Twilight Openings at Palace Green Library. The talks take place on the 4th Thursday of every month at Palace Green Library. Find out more about the museums and the collections from across Durham University, including Archive and Special Collections, Art Collection, Cosin's Library, Durham Castle Museum, Museum of Archaeology and Oriental Museum.  No need to book.

World Heritage Visitor Centre and the Museum of Archaeology are also open until 7pm during the Twilight Openings.
