Mr Martin Samuel Wright, BA BMus(Hons) MDiv MTheol
My PhD research focuses on the canonical reception and interpretation of the letter to the Ephesians. I am interested in how it was historically received as part of the Pauline Corpus, and how the preoccupation with its authorship has shaped its intepretation in modern times. I argue for an integrated reading of the Corpus which is attentive to a wide range of theological differences, without dividing it in two halves as "authentic" and "pseudonymous".
I have a background in pastoral ministry in Australia, enjoy walking, theatre and music, and have an ancillary research interest in the music of Arthur Sullivan.
