Summer in the City 2019

Summer in the City Festival 2019 brought together three programmes of work: The Art programme, Durham Student Theatre and Durham Student Music. Each strand produced a programme of events throughout June. Durham Student Theatre and Durham Student Music have large established festivals of work produced every summer by students. The art programme previously known as Art Durham brings together exhibitions, talks, screenings and workshops.

The arts programme was a platform for visual arts across the city taking place in museums, public spaces, community spaces and colleges. The programme comprised of exhibitions, tours, film screenings, workshops and talks for all ages. Featuring international, national and regional artists. Most of the art programme was free to attend.
