Geography, Key Stage 2

Students use maps and other documents from the archives to gain an understanding of how and why an area changes over time. They then choose a period and plan a guided tour of the locality for a visitor.

To tie in with a special exhibition that was held in winter 2015, we created a series of workshops that focused on the geography and science of the Antarctic. These are still available to be booked on on an outreach basis.During the session a focus will be placed on the habitat, the work of early explorers in helping us understand Antarctica and the impact of climate change.
