About Us

Durham University Squash Club’s aim is to provide development opportunities to all its members, helping to both achieve a higher level of play and develop coaching skills. Five men’s teams and four women’s teams compete in the BUCS leagues against other universities, with the higher ranked teams also competing in the local Durham & Cleveland leagues. Our players have regular sessions with professional coaches and have the opportunity to attend strength and conditioning sessions to further develop their game. Beginner and intermediate level players can benefit from the club by getting involved in our growing development squad, with sessions from qualified high-level club players, as well as through the chance to compete in internal leagues against players of similar ability.

With a large, varied and friendly membership the club is a great way to meet new people. We have regular social events throughout the academic year, from relaxed doubles competitions to pub trips and nights out after match days.

All are welcome to attend a club session and give it a try. Please feel free to contact the president with any queries you may have and follow DUSC on social media for regular updates on the club.

Durham University Squash are a Tier 2 Performance Club and athletes within the club have access to the following support services:

• Part time coaching support

• Fitness support including physio

• Support in attaining sporting concessions where the performer is in good academic standing

• Access to a comprehensive pre-winter season training programme
