Increased timeslots available for study spaces

(27 October 2020)

We have increased the number of bookable timeslots available to you for study spaces across our venues on campus and within the wider city.

All our study spaces are only available if you have pre-booked them.

As of this week, you are now able to book the following number of timeslots per calendar week (Sunday – Saturday):

Bill Bryson Library:

Teaching and Learning Centre:

Leazes Road Study Space (pre-booked only from Monday 2 November):

Hotel Indigo (pre-booked only from Monday 2 November):

  • up to three slots per week for individual study spaces

All bookings are restricted to one type per day.

Liz Waller, Director of Library and Collections, University Librarian, said: ‘We are continuously reviewing our services, and welcome feedback from you as to what has worked well and what you’d like us to improve. Current demand has meant that we’ve been able to increase the number of timeslots for our Stay and Study service. We will continue to monitor this over the coming weeks and will make changes in the future to take account of demand.

Our aim is to maximise access to our buildings for as many as possible while keeping you and our staff safe.'
