Reading the human body: wounds, bones and medical knowledge in the 17th century

Explore the level of medical knowledge in the 17th century with books from our collections and get hands on with bone casts as we explore holes in the head, diseases, injuries and more.

Throughout the course of the exhibition, specialist staff from across Culture Durham and the wider university will dig deep in to Palace Green Library’s archives and special collections to bring 17th century Durham to life. Starting on 18th June, sessions will run through to 24th September.
