During these periods, the Bill Bryson Library will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Services available during Library 24/7
During Library 24/7, staffed service at the Bill Bryson Library will operate Monday – Thursday 08:30–23:30, Friday 08:30–21:30, Saturday 09:00–21:30, Sunday 09:00–23:30. Self-service will operate outside of these times.
Help & Information desk services will also operate at these times, so please consider that Laptops and Study Room keys will only be available to borrow during staffed service hours and not 24/7.
Self-service hours will operate overnight around the staffed service times. Overnight, the Library will be manned by security staff and library services provided will be limited. For further details on Library security during the 24/7 opening period, click here.
The Short Loan collection will be available throughout the 24/7 period at the Bill Bryson Library and will adhere to normal term-time borrowing rules. See our page on Short Loan items for more details.
Reserved items will be available for collection at all times from the yellow shelves in the Short Loan section. For further information on reserving items, click here.

We hope that the Library 24/7 opening hours will have a positive impact on students in the lead up to exams in the final term. It is important to remember to use your time wisely, pace yourself, and plan assignments and exam revision effectively to make your studies more enjoyable.
