North East Ancient Egypt Society

The NEAES is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the enjoyment of Ancient Egypt.

It welcomes people of all ages, interests and experience of Egypt and offers a range of events ranging from fun to academic. A number of these events are held at the Oriental Museum. Tomb robbers were a constant threat to burials in Egypt and so many ingenious and not so ingenious measures were taken to protect the tomb. From sandraulics to curses, the methods are discussed in this lecture.
