Lunar New Year Lantern Festival: late night special opening
Join us for a late night opening at the Oriental Museum to mark Lunar New Year.
For one night only see the Museum bedecked by lanterns. Try fantastic crafts, see a traditional Korean drumming performance, sample delicious New Year snacks and take part in a lively retelling of the story of the Chinese Zodiac, the Great Race!
Lunar New Year is celebrated across Asia, including China, Vietnam, Korea and Laos. During the two-week festival, people travel to see their family and friends, give gifts, and eat a new year meal.
Enjoy fun Year of the Tiger activities, a gallery trail, dragon dancing and calligraphy.
Tickets are free, but places are limited so booking is essential. Book your ticket here.
