Eligibility: Durham University alumni holding a qualification at degree level or above who meet the necessary entry requirements for and join a Full-Time or Online MBA programme. This scholarship will be awarded automatically to eligible candidates. No separate scholarship application is required.

Note: Durham University offer a 10% Alumni Discount on all academic programmes; this scholarship increases that award to £5,000 in total for FT and Online MBA students. Value: £1,000

Eligibility & Key dates:

  • Hold a FT MBA academic offer by 30 April 2017
  • Paid deposit within six weeks of receiving academic offer
  • Commence programme in September 2017
  • Be neither a current or former employee of Durham University

If a student is successful in receiving another DUBS FT MBA scholarship, the scholarship of greatest value will be applied (students cannot receive multiple DUBS scholarships).

Description: In addition to a 10% reduction in the standard tuition fee for those students who meet the Early Application deadline of August 31, the EMBA programme also provides limited scholarships to qualifying applicants ranging from 5% to 50% of the tuition fee, including:

  • EMBA Scholarship for Women in Business (1 to 3 awards annually)
  • EMBA Scholarship for Academic Excellence (2 to 4 awards annually)
  • EMBA Scholarship for Outstanding Professional Achievement / Potential (2 to 4 awards annually)

Eligibility: Applicants must fulfil all admissions criteria and submit a complete academic and scholarship application.

Fully or partially corporate-funded applicants are not eligible to receive a scholarship award, but are eligible for the 10% Early Application Discount.

Scholarships awarded for the next programme start date may not be deferred to the subsequent year.

Application process: Interested candidates submit a completed scholarship application form available for download on the EBS website.

Scholarship deadlines are 31 August for the Early Application Discount as well as scholarship consideration during the first round of scholarship assessments, and by 31 October for scholarship consideration during the second round of scholarship assessments. No scholarship applications can be accepted after 31 October.

A joint Durham-EBS Scholarship Committee assesses all first-round applications prior to 15 September, and all second round applications prior to 15 November.

Value: Up to £10,000, paid in three instalments per year. Part-time loans capped at £5,000 per year.

Eligibility:

  • Available for UK nationals ordinarily resident in England. EU, EEA or Swiss nationals ordinarily resident in the EU, EEA or Switzerland.
  • For postgraduate Masters degrees in all subjects, including taught and research programmes.
  • Available for full-time, part-time and distance learning courses.
  • Full-time courses - up to two years (depending on the length of the course). Part-time courses - up to four years (equivalent to a two-year full-time course). Part-time study must be at least 50% of a full-time course.
  • For courses beginning on or after 1st August 2016.
  • Applicants must be under 60, without existing qualifications at Masters-level or above.

Administration: Loans will be issued and managed by the Student Loans Company.
