Silversmith Les Howe and his wife Vivienne, an artist and card designer will be demonstrating their skills in the garden.

My husband and I recently visited Durham and the Botanic Gardens for the first time. Definitely worth visiting. I really liked the tropical area. The little coffee shop is also lovely. A lovely place to spend a couple of hours.

The Botanic Gardens are a heaven, quiet, immaculately maintained and very peaceful. There's plenty to occupy kids... including a trail where they can look for various hidden animals dotted around. Thoroughly recommended for a pleasant 2-3 hours and with a top quality coffee shop/ restaurant at the end of it!

This beautiful 25 acre garden is a great place to wander in for any age group. The varied areas and changing landscape are of constant interest. It is child friendly and welcoming.

Loved this place! Once I got away from the kids fun day, it was really peaceful. Need a good pair of walking shoes as can be a bit muddy in the wet and there are a few steep climbs if you want to do them. Beautiful plants and trees. Lots of things to keep kids amused.
