Biography:

Chong started his Ph.D. study in October 2016. Before that, he had finished an MA Social Research Methods (Sociology) with distinction at Durham, and subsequently been working as a User-Researcher (UR) in an internet company and as a social researcher in Sharpen Research Institute in southern China. 

Field of study:

His research focuses on digital inequalities (especially the digital divide). Specifically, His Ph.D. research focuses on online learning, and its relationship with existing social inequality, specifically in the context of urban China, where an issue of inequality between rural migrants and urban citizens could be seen.
