About the Event

Join us for the launch of a new series of sessions giving preparation for life after PhD. The session will introduce the aims of the new events and start a discussion about what support is needed for those taking or thinking of taking a PhD.

The new series of events will be one hour long, fast paced and informal sessions that will cover topics requests by Early Career Researchers (ECRs). Suggestions collected so far include Q&A sessions about unconventional career paths, and workshops on writing applications for interdisciplinary posts and roles. We hope these sessions will be fun and useful.

Who is it for?

What on Earth am I Doing? Sessions are open to all Early Career Researchers, from undergraduates to Fellows, from all Departments and disciplines.

The programme is being led by the Biophysical Sciences Institute's and the Wolfson Research Institute for Health and Wellbeing's Early Career Researcher groups, with input from others including the Careers and Enterprise EDAPT delivery team.
