Global Engagement Grants - Michaelmas Term 2024

Call now open for Applications

Durham’s Global Strategy reinforces its commitment to supporting international partnerships that enhance Durham’s reputation and competitiveness in research and education. Grants are available for proposals with existing or prospective partners. Given the UK’s association to the 2021-2027 €95.5bn Horizon Europe research funding programme, this call will prioritise applications for engagement with European institutions. The deadline for applications is 14th November 2024.

Matariki Research Seed Fund

The MNU Seed Fund is now open for applications

The Matariki Network of Universities (MNU) is launching a second call for seed funding to develop a stronger relationship in globally relevant fields of research between its partners. Through a competitive process, MNU will jointly advertise, select and fund collaborative research projects between at least 2 MNU institutions. Successful projects are expected to ultimately result in outcomes such as third-party funding applications, large scale collaborations, significant joint publications etc.

Durham-Tübingen Seedcorn Fund 2024

The call is now closed

The Durham-Tübingen Seedcorn Fund is part of our renewed strategic partnership. This call is open for joint research collaborations in the following themes: Climate Change and Clean Energy; Health and Life Sciences; Heritage and Culture; Biosciences and the Environment; and Emerging Technologies. Each award is worth up to €20,000 and projects can run anytime between August 2024 and July 2026.
