Us Too Live Classical Orchestra Performance

3rd February 2020, 19:30 to 21:00, St Aidan's College, Bailey Room

Join us for this special live performance of classical music by The Cobweb Orchestra, blended with domestic abuse survivors stories.

Arts education and training company Changing Relations C.I.C has produced a 30 minute thought provoking soundscape – Us Too - that has recently featured in The Bowes Museum. Us Too is a digital soundscape that weaves together classical, electronic and experimental music, with interviews from a diverse range of domestic abuse survivors.

Join us on Monday 3 February, St Aidan's College for this special live performance of Us Too that will see classical music by The Cobweb Orchestra, blended with prerecorded interviews which chronicle experiences of domestic abuse across all walks of life.

Produced in collaboration with artist Rupert Philbrick and Doctoral Researcher Ros Walling-Wefelmeyer, Us Too is a powerful art form that elevates the voices of survivors whose bravery and strength will raise awareness of domestic abuse and how it can be stopped.

Following the performance you will have the chance to ask questions about how the soundscape was made. There will also be a thought-provoking panel talk with industry experts who will discuss why universities should be talking more about domestic abuse.
