This Week's Events

Brontë

2nd December 2019, 19:30, Repeated daily until 3rd December 2019, Durham Union Debating Chamber, Palace Green, Durham

'Brontë’ is a literary reimagining of the lives of the Brontë family from childhood to death, weaving back and forth in time. It explores how three Victorian sisters living in isolation on the Yorkshire moors, came to write some of the most powerful and passionate fiction of all time.
We see the real and imagined worlds of Charlotte, Emily and Anne as the fictional characters come to haunt their creators and how they are affected by their brother Branwell's descent into alcoholism and insanity.
A powerful exploration of familial relationships and the pressures within that transcends from the 19th century to modern day.

Performances:
Monday 2 December 7,30pm
Tuesday 3 December, 7.30pm
