This not only helps to keep you active and healthy, but it also provides social opportunities and a sense of belonging that can be particularly important in the early days when you are settling in at University.

Our teams also compete in the England Hockey National Leagues, the British Basketball League and the FS Women's Superleague.
ParticipationHere at Durham, you are able to take part in a wide range of activities and sport continuously proves to be one of the most popular areas of interenst, mainly due to the sheer number of opportunities to participate at varying levels. So whether you have played before, or there is a new sport you would like to try, through your college you will have the chance to join in and give it a go. Many of our students discover sporting abilities they never knew they had, simply through joining a college team, often progressing to play at University-level and beyond.
Community OutreachWe focus on making sport accessible, we provide access to a wide range of opportunities, all of which create valuable real-life experience in a setting where you can make a difference.
