Our colleges share many characteristics and collegiate spirit, but each one has its own distinctive character from its location and architecture, to its history and traditions.


Colleges provide, or have close access to, a range of facilities for studying, relaxing, socialising, sport and day to day living.

There are also a number of rooms available to full time postgraduate students beginning their studies in October time, should they wish to apply and be considered for college accommodation.

Accommodation costs are based on whether your allocated college is catered or self-catered, and then by the room type the college offers.

There are different types of accommodation available across all of our colleges, but not all catering options or room types are available in every college.

We appreciate that you may have commitments or circumstances which mean you need to live outside of colleges.

If a first year undergraduate student wishes to live out of college please notify your college that you do not require accommodation as soon as you receive details of your college allocation. Contact details for each college can be found on individual college webpages.
