Internally, we promote effective practice and the benefits of public and community engagement, sharing our expertise and experience with academics, postgraduate and undergraduate students, through training, mentoring and support, further helping to highlight the importance of outreach and engagement with the aim of embedding it within the institution.
Engagement Training for Doctoral Training Centres
Since 2015, Science Engagement has worked with various Centres for Doctoral Training to provide integrated specialist training and on-going mentoring support for their postgraduate students in aspects of outreach and engagement.
We aim to promote best practice and the benefits of engagement activities throughout all the Sciences, sharing our experience and expertise with academics, postgraduate and undergraduate students, further helping to highlight the importance of engagement and to embed it within the institution.
Whilst a separate Pathways to Impact statement is no longer required on a UKRI grant application, applicants must still consider how they will or might achieve impact throughout their projects and must include this as part their Case for Support. Some guidance can be found in this section.
