Funding Opportunities

Each year the BSI is able to support innovative research through funding from a variety of sources (past sponsors have included Durham University, EPSRC, Santander and The Wolfson Trust).

In addition to the funding schemes administered by the Institute (including the Pump Priming fund, Summer Research Bursaries, Workshop fund) the BSI supports its members by regularly advertising external funding calls that support collaborative research. The external calls are advertised below and through the BSI weekly email (to sign up to the BSI mailing list please email alex.probert@durham.ac.uk).
