The BSI hosts a programme of events that cover the spectrum of the biophysical sciences, designed to stimulate discussion and collaboration. Our events are open to all.
BSI Workshop: The Automated Analysis of Ageing in C. elegans and Beyond
6-7 September 2017, Durham University
This workshop aims to combine statistical research approaches in physics and biosciences (ecology) and to extend the application of automated analysis to ageing in other models including human ageing.
- What are the advantages and disadvantages of various automated methods to measure ageing in the model organism C. elegans developed around the world (including Durham)?
- How can we learn from each other to improve statistical analysis, sharing of technology and data between research groups, and understanding of biomarkers of ageing
Howard Lecture Prize
The 2017 Howard Lecture will be given by Dr Susan Cox (KCl) in the week commencing 30th October. The Howard lecture is an annual lecture which celebrates world leading early to mid-career academics working in the biophysical sciences.
About BSI Events
The BSI also advertises interdisciplinary seminars and events from across the University's Departments, Schools and other Research Institutes. If you would like to be added to our mailing list please send your request by email to email@example.com
