Ustinov Annual Conference 2017
Global Citizenship, Nationalism, and New Paradigms
The Ustinov Annual Conference provides an interactive and fun space for dialogue between students, faculty and practitioners to explore questions of global citizenship at the intersection of academic theory and real life practice. Participants of the 2017 conference were invited to engage with the perceived polarisation of Western society, the globalism/nationalism dichotomy, as well as non-Western discourses on global citizenship.
The conference began on the 7th July with a three-course dinner and address by Professor Thom Brooks in the historic Durham Cathedral. The main conference programme, including a keynote address by Professor Dibyesh Anand, took place at Ustinov College on the 8th July. Photos, PowerPoint presentations and video clips from this event will become available shortly.
Planning for the 2018 Ustinov Annual Conference will commence in November 2017. If you are a Ustinov student and would like to participate in the planning process, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
