Ustinov Annual Conference 2016
The UAC 2016 kicked off with a three-course dinner on Friday 1 July in Durham Cathedral's Undercroft Restaurant. The conference itself was held on Saturday 2 July at Ustinov College, Durham University. Over forty participants, including students, academics, senior management, and international partners from Durham, UCL, Uppsala, Manchester, and the National University of Ireland, gathered to engage with the timely concept of global citizenship, its integration into higher education institutions, and its range of interpretations in light of cultural difference and events of worldwide significance. This student-led multidisciplinary conference was funded by Durham University's Collegiate Office and CAROD and took place in conjunction with the development of the Matariki Network of Universities' Global Citizenship Programme.
Very stimulating presentations from a great range of speakers. Supportive atmosphere in which to explore difficult ideas & share one’s own uncertainties. Wonderful friendly welcome & experience! Oh – and great catering!Conference participant
