In September 2017 we opened the doors to our brand new, purpose-built college buildings at Sheraton Park offering an unrivalled student experience for new and current students.
Sheraton Park is located just over a mile from Durham City centre, on the western fringe of the city, adjacent to parkland. The high quality accommodation comprises of single ensuite bedrooms and couple's self-contained studio accommodation, decorated in warm tones of oak, white and grey.
Our new home will continue to be a place where identities trascend geography, political borders, race, culture and disciplines, and where all can experience our diverse, mutlidisciplinary, scholarly community.
As part of our research and scholarly activity, our hugely successful Global Citizenship Programme and Scholarships (GCP), shapes our student experience through seminars and debates with academics, activities and research students sharing their research or offering insights on topical subjects of interest. Living, working and studying together, members of the college will contribute to a vibrant academic environment fostering dialogue, debate and friendship and a culture of affection for life.
Ustinov Principal, Professor Glenn McGregor added: "The move to Sheraton Park heralds an exciting new era in the history of Ustinov College. Whilst we will be located in new buildings, we will continue the traditions and activities that make Ustinov so popular with our students and alumni. As well as retaining what makes Ustinov so distinctive, the move also provdies a great opportunity to think about and develop new ways of socialising and fostering inclusivity within our college community."
