University College offers both fully-catered and self-catered options. This means that during term-time, students that live in College accommodation and are on a fully-catered let, receive breakfast, lunch and dinner, seven days a week, as part of the Residence Charge. We also offer a self-catered option in our accommodation in New Kepier Court. Students are allocated to rooms in August once offers have been confirmed, and we will ask for your preference for a catered or self-catered room. Please note that we have 89 self-catered rooms, and 325 fully catered rooms.

Meals are served in our magnificent dining hall, which can seat up to 220. The dining hall is the Great Hall of the Castle, one of the largest medieval halls in Britain, begun in the late thirteenth century. The College dines formally every Tuesday and Thursday in term-time, when gowns are worn.

The College caters for students with special dietary requirements and there is always a vegetarian option.

Students living in our New Kepier Court accommodation are self-catered. Each flat of 4, 5 or 6 bedrooms shares a kitchen, which is fully equipped with fridge, cooker, microwave, ample storage space, and a dining table. We also offer meal packages to self-catered students on a termly basis. For further information about these packages please contact us on in the first instance.
