University College offers both fully-catered and self-catered options. This means that during term-time, students that live in College accommodation and are on a fully-catered let, receive breakfast, lunch and dinner, seven days a week, as part of the Residence Charge. Students are allocated to rooms in August once offers have been confirmed, and we will ask for your preference. We have 325 fully catered rooms.

Meals are served in our magnificent dining hall, which can seat up to 220. The dining hall is the Great Hall of the Castle, one of the largest medieval halls in Britain, begun in the late thirteenth century. The College dines formally every Tuesday and Thursday in term-time, when gowns are worn.

The College caters for students with special dietary requirements and there is always a vegetarian option.
