Important Documents and Information
Congratulations on becoming a member of University College! We look forward to welcoming you.
Please take time to read carefully the documents below.
These are important documents which contain information and guidelines for members of the College. It is expected that you will have read these before you arrive in Durham. The University College Information and Guidelines 2016-17 document contains the College’s Code of Conduct, which all College members must abide by.
Licence to Occupy University Accommodation
All students are required to complete a contract for their College accommodation. These are sent individually to students via a Particulars of Offer email which sets out the accommodation offered under the terms of the Licence to Occupy University Accommodation.
Please note that this Licence Agreement is for undergraduate students only.
Insurance Cover for Students
Basic contents insurance cover for items in your room is included as standard for student residents in all University accommodation. This student room insurance provided covers some of the items in your room for theft, fire and flood risk. There will be an opportunity for optional additional top up covers, and full details of what is offered will be published in September 2016.

Climate change is a problem for us all - but here in University College we can play a role to help save the day: switching the lights off, recycling, saving water, etc, etc and generally being more green. The document Student & Visitor Eco Code, downloadable below, raises awareness of environmental issues in the College and University.
