Castle Cutting Edge

Cutting Edge at Castle is a lecture series which showcases some of the world-leading research undertaken by members of University College Senior Common Room, as well as a number of special guests.

Lectures take place on Tuesdays in the Senate Suite, commecing at 5.30pm and finishing at 6.30pm. They are free and open to all.

'When law can do no right: legal limitations in the “fake news” era'

This lecture will consider both the private and public laws’ limitations in the face of the proliferation of fake news and mass misinformation. It asks to what extent even a reformed law is adequate to the task of mitigating the problem and, if so, at what cost.
