Durham University Sport Online
We realise how important it is for everyone's physical and mental health and wellbeing to stay fit and active and that's why our staff have been working hard to ensure students, staff and members of the public can return safely to the Sports and Wellbeing Park with our new Covid-19 safety measures in place. Find out more about these here.
We also recognise that some of our community would still prefer to maintain their activity levels at home and that's why we've created the 'Durham University Sport Online' page to direct you to all of our free online content that you can do in the safety of your own home. We have a large number of live and on-demand resources from Strength and Conditioning workouts to emotional intelligence talks designed to keep you physically and mentally fit during these unprecedented times.
The fitness centre worked incredibly hard over lockdown to provide quality content for you to access from home. Please use these links to access on-demand workouts with a teams account and all pre-recorded youtube workouts.
Strength and Conditioning
Strength and Conditioning sessions are a huge part of life as a Team Durham Athlete and we are aware that current constraints, in place to keep everyone safe, mean that our teams do not have as much access to the facilities as they have done in recent years. The S&C team have put together some useful programmes that you can do at home to help maintain your strength and robustness levels as well as setting up a Team Durham Strava group to encourage members to keep aerobically fit. Click here for online programmes and join the Strava group via this link.
Performance Lifestyle Support
Our Performance Lifestyle expert, Graeme Foreman of Graeme Foreman International Solutions (GFIS), has kept busy over lockdown recording his 'Chit Chat' series. Graeme has over 20 years experience working with CEO's from the boardroom to Olympic Athletes and Coaches and has spent the last 6 years as part of the Team Durham family. Graeme's insightful talks cover a range of topics that are not only interesting but will help improve your own mindset. Listen out for some of our very own Team Durham athletes, coaches and our Head of Sport who also feature in the series.
GFIS will also be launching a new online 4 part programme at the end of October - FREE to Durham Students that may help you analyse your current position in more depth with strategies to improve your performance in life and sport.

We used our time over lockdown to catch up with a number of current students and famous sporting alumni to find out what they had been getting up to over the summer and how they had been making the most of their time at home. To view these, subscribe to the Team Durham YouTube channel here.
The Wellbeing Programme is part of the Student Wellbeing and Community Engagement Office. Their aim is to provide students with a programme of free classes that will help to improve physical and psychological wellbeing. All classes have now been moved online, making it even easier for you to join the movement from anywhere. There are a number of exercise professionals delivering classes and trainers are highly qualified and experienced in delivering safe and motivational classes. Find the full timetable here.
