Undergraduate Study

We offer the opportunity to develop a thorough knowledge of the structure and function of the modern state, the history of ideas around the nature and purpose of politics, plus the development of particular regions and their political systems. You are able to study the three main political streams of political theory, comparative politics, and international relations, plus optional modules to tailor your degree.

Our graduates will have outstanding skills to take into the world of work, be self-aware, reflective and ambitious global citizens. Through the teaching and support of our excellent staff members you will be educated throughout your chosen programme by members of staff on academic and teaching tracks who display the highest levels of commitment to educational excellence and are supported to consistently innovate.

'A major highlight of the degree for me has been the opportunity to listen to world-renowned speakers on the key political issues of the day. I feel that my degree makes me an ideal candidate for a job in either the public or private sector.'
