Welcome to new colleagues

(21 May 2020)

We are very pleased to announce the appointment of two new colleagues in International Politics, Dr Kavi Abraham and Dr Anne Flaspöler.
Both Anne and Kavi will be joining us 1 August and we are delighted to welcome them to the SGIA team.
Dr Kavi Abraham is currently a visiting lecturer at the University of Pittsburgh. He recently completed his PhD (in 2018) at Johns Hopkins and he holds degrees from McGill University and the New School for Social Research. Kavi is a very promising scholar who has already published in the ISA journal International Political Sociology. His research into pragmatism makes him a very strong addition to our expertise in the School in International Political Theory.

Dr Anne Flaspöler has held a Teaching Fellow position with the Durham Global Policy Institute at SGIA. She has work experience in Hanover, Iceland, and Leeds. Anne completed her PhD in Leeds in 2015, and since then has produced an impressive publication record, including a book with Routledge and an article in Peacebuilding. Her work on peacekeeping in Africa will be a strong addition to our research community and teaching portfolio.
