Global Policy: Next Generation first issue published
(20 April 2020)
Global Policy: Next Generation is a new annual issue from Global Policy. An initiative of Global Policy North, this multi-disiciplinary, peer-reviewed publication provides a platform for graduates and early career researchers to publish research on par with the most rigorous academic journals.
This first edition covers a range of pressing topics, including the importance of reframing how policymakers perceive global existential risk, and the fourth industrial revolution, the modernisation of diplomatic practice and international peacekeeping and the future of foreign direct investment. Through it all, GPNG demonistrates the importance of providing a platform for early career research and a way to bridge the divide between academia and global policymakers.
This first edition is edited by Gregory Stiles (University of Leeds), Amna Kaleem (University of Sheffield) and Emma Lecavalier (Durham University/University of Toronto). The editors are all based in universities who are part of the Global Policy North network and we would like to thank them for their support of this exciting new initiative.
