The department organises a wide variety of research events from major international conferences and to regular papers. In this section we have links to all our past and forthcoming events, from our Research Seminars - which feature weekly papers from top academics from around the world - to links for our RIP, EJ Lowe Lecture Series and Institute for Advanced Studies public lecture series. Events are also organised as part of our numerous research projects, by our research clusters and through the Sense Perception in the North (SPIN) Network. The Diversity Inclusion Group host regular events, from diversity awareness workshops to women's cocoa parties.
Our department has a large number of academics and postgraduates working in the history and philosophy of science and medicine and as such there is a link to events organised by the Centre for the History of Medicine and Disease and Centre for the Medical Humanities. Please follow this link for events organised by our Centre for Humanities Engaging Science and Society (CHESS) and other associated research centres.
For more information about our research seminars, please contact Dr Clare MacCumhaill.
