What's on today
In many of Norman Cornish’s sketches we see friendly dogs next to their owners feet. If you look closely it almost seems as if the dog’s tails might just wag! Construct your own dog today complete with a wagging tail.
Week 4: Saturday 15th February 2020 10.30- 12:00
Over four weeks artist, Paul Raymond will lead an alternative drawing school at Palace Green Library. Each weeks focus will change, exploring the themes of our current exhibition, Norman Cornish: The Sketchbooks.
Paul Raymond is an artist and art educator from the north east. His practice includes drawing, collage, digital and performance work. He is passionate about art being accessible, engaging and enjoyable for everybody.
In 2016 and 2017, archaeologists moved into numbers 18-29 Claypath, to carry out investigation work on the site of the old cinema, snooker hall and garage in Durham City Centre. Visitors can discover evidence of 2000 years of life in Durham in this exhibition; from evidence of one Durham's first Iron Age resident to the medieval rubbish pits and 18th century street-front buildings.
