Important Visa Information: From 31st July 2018, students applying for Canadian study permits will be required to travel to London to complete a bio metrics register. The language of instruction at UBC is English. If you are a non native English speaker, you may be required to provide evidence of language ability.
Housing is available but spaces are very limited. Students should seriously consider the possibility that they will need to live off campus. Students are not guaranteed to be allocated on campus accommodation.

UBC have a great range of support available including medical assistance, academic support, everyday advice, mental health support.
UBC offers a number of fee paying Summer Opportunities. The packaged fee per student would be $4500 CAD and includes accommodation, course materials, social activities, medical insurance, access to 2 courses and much more.

NB- the International Office would only be able to offer advice on summer programmes, students are responsible for paying for the programme.
Estimated costs of a year at UBC would be $6-8000 per term.
Accommodation with meal plan would be roughly $8500 per year.
Students are required to purchase iMED health insurance for international students. This is compuslory and costs around $180.
