 The Foundation Programme

Foundation Courses for UK and EU Students

The Foundation Programme is part of Durham Centre for Academic Development and offers year zero (foundation level) access to selected undergraduate degree programmes as part of Durham University’s commitment to widening participation. Our students encompass a wide variety of backgrounds, but typically are mature learners who are returning to education, learners who wish to change academic fields, or EU learners whose qualifications do not allow direct entry. If you have been out of education for a time, have A Levels (or equivalent) that do not match the degree you wish to study for, or missed out on education first time round, you may be eligible to study with us for a place on an undergraduate degree course. Please choose from the buttons below to find out more.

Assessment & Interview Days for 2019 Entry

Our assessment & interview days for 2019 entry will be on Saturday 26th January, Saturday 9th February, and Saturday 23rd February. We aim to send invitations to shortlisted applicants at least two weeks before the day.
