History as Space: Aby Warburg and Material to Cultural History
A staff/postgraduate research seminar, with Dr Petri Vuojala (University of Oulu).
Dr Vuojala is Senior Lecturer at the University of Oulu. He has published widely on art history, architecture and cultural theory. His book, "Pathosformel: Aby Warburg and the Art History of Emotions," was published in 1997.
Aby Warburg was an art historian and cultural theorist who founded the Warburg Institute. The subject of his research was the legacy of the Classical world in the most varied areas of western culture.
