British Academy International Fellowships 2024 in the Department of English Studies, Durham University

The British Academy (BA) International Fellowships Programme is jointly run by the British Academy and the Royal Society, with an overall aim aim of building a globally connected, mobile research and innovation workforce.  The scheme provides support for outstanding early career researchers to make a first step towards developing an independent research career through gaining experience across international borders.

The BA 2023 International Fellowships call has now closed.

The Department of English Studies would be happy to receive early expressions of interest from outstanding and eligible candidates interested in applying to the 2024 competition, particularly those whose research interests relate to the Department's themes (https://www.dur.ac.uk/english.studies/research/ ) or to those of relevant University Research Centres and Institutes (https://www.dur.ac.uk/arts.humanities/research/research_centres//).

Applications are particularly welcome from women and black and minority ethnic candidates, who are under-represented in academic posts in the University.

Please contact the Departmental Director of Research (Dr Abbie Garrington;  abbie.garrington@durham.ac.uk) and Grants Officer (Dr Sam Thomas  samuel.thomas@durham.ac.uk) in the first instance.
