Humour and Satire in British Romanticism

Hatfield College

This conference, jointly organised by Durham University and Newcastle University, will provide a framework for the relatively new, but steadily growing, interest in humour within Romantic studies.

The broad and packed programme of papers will cover everything from biting political satire to epistolary puns.

Keynote lectures by Matthew Ward (University of Birmingham) and Susan Valladares (Durham University).

The conference is free to attend as it is generously funded by the Northern Bridge Consortium and Durham University Faculty of Arts and Humanities.

Register via Eventbrite.
