Lovely

Durham Castle is so beautiful. It really makes the skyline when you come over on the train.

Unexpected highlight - fab value for a fiver

Our guide Charles made the tour come alive with both encyclopaedic knowledge and a clear love of his subject but also a cracking sense of humour.

Reviews

Stunning

Courtyard, chapels, apartments, location, student areas, it’s all fab. Worth the slog up the cobbled Hill, and view it from the river while hiring a rowing boat.

Fabulous tour!

You can only visit this castle as part of a tour and what a tour we had. Guided by Imogen, it was interesting and humourous
