Both of our undergraduate programmes are highly rated in the National Student Survey, whilst our Initial Teacher Education programmes have been rated Outstanding by Ofsted in 2011 and 2013. At postgraduate and undergraduate level our students can choose from a wide range of topics spanning the discipline of Education.

At the core of our vision is a more equitable world in which education plays an important role in enabling individuals, communities and societies to flourish.

Research, Scholarship and Teaching conducted in the School of Education aims at contributing to expanding the frontiers of educational knowledge by:

(a) conducting internationally excellent research which has a positive impact on individuals and organizations through policy and practice

(b) creating a knowledge-base that provides evidence to facilitate decision making in education

(c) delivering rigorous and relevant education which inspires our students to become the future architects of an equitable and sustainable world.
