Josephine Butler

Sport

Josephine Butler has quickly earned itself a reputation as a formidable sporting college. In past years, we've excelled in competition against other colleges and had some great successes given our relative youth as a College.

We have a wide range of sports clubs for you to choose from including football, hockey, rugby, darts, pool, badminton, tennis, squash, ultimate frisbee, lacrosse and rowing. Whether you want to play competitively, with friends, or just to improve your fitness, you'll have opportunities at all levels at Butler. Many beginners take up sports and often discover new talents.

The social side to sport at Josephine Butler is fantastic. Sports team socials and nights out have become a regular part of our calendar. There is the opportunity for everyone to get involved in the serious side of college sport but also, and more importantly, to just have fun. Many Butler clubs also run social sport sessions, where you can just turn up and play for fun.
