Celebrating our research and impact
Today, Durham University Business School officially becomes Durham University’s fourth faculty. This new positioning of the School within the University’s internal structure facilitates the ever-increasing and collaborative role of the School in the future direction of the University, and our contribution to the delivery of the University’s 2017-2027 Strategy.
This historic change and significant milestone on our development journey, provides a key pillar for the School to become one of Europe’s Top 20 business schools.
To celebrate this, we will be showcasing some of our research throughout August and September. We will present some of our research achievements across several areas and demonstrate the impact of our internationally leading research on business and organisational practice, economic development and wider society.
Some examples of our upcoming showcase include:
- Assistant Professor Neil Graney’s research on how we can tackle mental health in football to coincide with the return of the English Football League on 2 August.
- Professor Christos Tsinopoulos, Dr Karena Yan and Professor Carlos Sousa’s on what we can learn from Google. This looks at open innovation versus learning from failure.
- Commemorating the UN International Day of Peace on 21 September with several features, including Professor Geoff Moore’s IMPACT article on how we embed our Ethics, Responsibility and Sustainability strategy across the School and Professor Carol Adams’ five steps to help companies hit Sustainable Development Goals.
