Durham MBA joint 9th Globally for Return on Investment
This week, Business Insider UK highlighted the best MBA programmes globally for return on investment and Durham University Business School was placed joint 9th in the world and joint 3rd in the UK. These results were formed using the data taken from the QS 2019 Global MBA Ranking.
The article on the Business Insider UK site, titled ‘35 business schools that get the most bang for your buck, ranked’, focuses on how the choice to enrol onto an MBA programme is a big investment so it is vitally important to assess what the potential return on investment may be. There is a component within the QS 2019 Global MBA Ranking which specifically focuses on this by measuring and comparing post-MBA salaries to pre-MBA salaries while factoring in tuition and cost of living. The Top 35 institutions listed in the article have come from QS ‘evaluating 251 of the best business schools in the world’ in their ranking.
Julie Hodges, Associate Dean for MBA Programmes at Durham University Business School commented: “Return on investment is an important criterion in selecting an MBA as well as the high quality student experience. We are delighted that the value of our programme is recognised by both the QS 2019 Global MBA Ranking and the Business Insider UK journal.”
Current MBA student Hans Geffert, talking about his decision to study with Durham added: “The intuition’s reputation balanced with its commitment and investment in delivering a ‘real world’ MBA that draws on industry practitioners, contemporary business case studies, industry networking, international experience, and global alumni, presented a strong value for money proposition to me when comparing leading MBA programmes.”
William Camuso, MBA alumnus of the 2014/15 cohort agreed and said: "The MBA programme at Durham provides exceptional value, both in terms of time and money, and I know I wouldn't be where I am now without the skills and knowledge I gained during my time at Durham."
