Farewell to our MBA 2016/17 Cohort!
On Monday 4 September 2017 we said farewell to our MBA 2016/17 cohort. Finale day began with our MBA students handing in their Business Projects followed by a farewell presentation by Toby Watson, Deputy Dean of Education, and Wendy Pearson, MBA Careers Advisor.
After lunch our MBAs enjoyed a walk along the riverside and participated in various activities, including an MBA boat race!
The afternoon concluded with a farewell buffet reception to celebrate their achievements and the conclusion of the programme.
Vicky Welsh, MBA Programme Manager said, “This year’s MBAs were the first cohort to take the newly launched Full-time Programme with its specialised pathways, seeing students specialise in either Consultancy or Entrepreneurship.
“Reflecting back at Finale day, a day of celebration, 12 months has gone over so quickly the MBA team can still remember the very first day they started with us in Induction: the excitement, the nervousness of not knowing what the year had in store. Over the year we have watched our students learn and develop – it’s been a pleasure supporting everyone on their individual journeys.
“I often think it’s like watching your children grow. Our MBA students become like family to us and they become one big family to one another, supporting each other throughout the year. The journey however is not over, it is only just beginning. Some of our students will be with us for a little while longer as they complete internships, whilst others have already gained new employment.
“The MBA team are very proud of all our students’ achievements, and wish them the very best for the future. We hope they stay in touch as we want to hear about their successes, stories and news.”
Congratulations to all our MBAs. We wish everyone on the programme much luck as you continue on in your journeys. Please keep in touch!
