Seminars offer the opportunity for smaller group discussions based on the lecture topics and provide space for you to engage in debate and questioning around the subject.
Outside of timetabled contact hours, you will also be expected to carry out independent study both as a follow-up to lectures and in preparation for contributing in seminars.
The dissertation allows you to carry out independent research and, using theoretical frameworks, develop your skills in formulating and expressing long-form analysis and research. Alternatively, the business project usually involves an external organisation and gives you the opportunity to apply knowledge gained on the course to solve a real-life problem.
You will have the support of an academic adviser as well as one-to-one support from teaching staff.
Assessment
Assessment is thorough and is carried out through the production of written assignments, case studies, group presentations, a series of group projects, examinations and your dissertation.
