Rataporn's main interests lie in corporate finance and corporate governance, specialising in capital structure and debt maturity structure decisions. She joined the School in February 2007 after completing her MSc and PhD at Durham.

Rataporn's main interests lie in corporate finance and corporate governance, specialising in capital structure and debt maturity structure decisions. She joined the School in February 2007 after completing her MSc and PhD at Durham.

Rataporn Deesomsak and Dr Frankie Chau's paper titled "The Determinants of Working Capital Management: Evidence from Thailand" won the best paper award at the World Business Economics and Finance conference hosted by World Business Institute in Bangkok in September 2011.
