How to get involved
In 2015, Van Mildert College will celebrate its 50th anniversary. The occasion will be marked by events spread across the year, the details of which shall be revealed in due course. Every aspect of the College will be encouraged to participate in the celebrations, with opportunities for alumni, former staff and current members of the JCR, MCR and SCR to get involved.

Opera by the Lake
Many College Members will be aware that the 2015 VMA Reunion Weekend will feature “Opera by the Lake” on the afternoon of Saturday 11 July 2015. The concert, in the Ann Dobson Hall, will include opera choruses sung by a core group of local musicians, rehearsed under the chorus mastership of Joe Schultz, the Van Mildert College Trust and Fenman Trust research scholar. Places at the event are limited and can be booked by contacting the Development Officer, Martin Brader, via email@example.com.
50th Anniversary Books
As part of Van Mildert College's 50th Anniversary celebrations, two books have been developed to mark this milestone occasion.
‘A Place of Water: Memories of 50 Years at Van Mildert College’ edited by Maureen McCorry and Ruth Tanner contains memories of former members of the JCR, MCR, SCR and College staff. The book provides an account of a number of key events and developments within the College and provides a great overview of Van Mildert College community from 1965 to present day. Copies are available for £20 + P&P from the Development Officer (firstname.lastname@example.org).
'The Birth of a College - Van Mildert College: The Prowse Years 1964 - 1972' has been written by former Senior Tutor and Master, Arnold Bradshaw. 'The Birth of a College' provides an account of the foundational years of Van Mildert College undert the leadership of Dr Prowse, the College's first Master. Copies are available for £12 + P&P from the Development Officer (email@example.com).*
