Theology at Durham tops another national league table thanks to excellent graduate prospects

(6 June 2014)

Two leading British league tables now pick Durham as the UK's best department of Theology and Religion.

The newly-released Guardian University Guide 2015 places Durham's Department of Theology and Religion as no. 1 in its subject rank tables, up from no. 2 last year.

This comes a few weeks after the Complete University Guide 2015, which uses a very different methodology, reached the same judgement.

The crucial figure in both cases is an 88% score for graduate prospects, well ahead of the next best department, Cambridge, on 82%. It also means that Durham Theology and Religion's graduate prospects are better than those for graduates in Classics, English, History or Philosophy in any university in Britain.
