Research interests
- Anas works on international education and peace, particularly on their interplay in such contexts of protracted crisis as that of Palestine. Funded by the UK’s ESRC, his current doctoral research investigates the potential contributions of international graduate scholarships to peace in Palestine.
Esteem Indicators
- 2023: Durham Researcher Development Award (Stage 2): Stage 2 of the DRDA focuses on developing coaching and leadership skills. I am now working with four PGR mentees, developing coaching experience, joining training and follow-up sessions, and will complete a 1,000 word reflective account of these engagements.
- 2022: Durham Researcher Development Award (Stage 1): The DRDA is a structured career development programme that supports researchers to engage in a wide range of activities and obtain recognition for their engagement in professional development. I received this award in recognition of successfully completing 10 days of professional development activities informed by the Researcher Development Framework
- 2021: NINE DTP Studentship: Successfully competed for a full doctoral studentship from the ESRC through the Northern Ireland and North East England Doctoral Training Partnership (NINE DTP).
